Creating a User

You must select a domain to which the new user belongs. Therefore, ensure that you have defined an appropriate domain before creating the user. You can create users of the same name in different domains if required.

In the becubic Eclipse client, select FileNewUser from the menu bar to create a new user.

To create a user

  1. In the left frame of the Administration page, expand Security Management and click Manage Users. The User List window opens.
  2. Click Create New . The Registration window opens:
  1. On the Registration Step 1 page, enter the username, select a domain (for example, My Domain), and enter and confirm the password (which is case-sensitive).
  2. Click Next. The Role selection (Registration Step 2) page opens:
  1. Optional. Select one or more roles (for example, My Role) whose associated permissions and Welcome Panel you want to grant to the new user. If you do not select any roles, the permissions granted to Everyone will be granted to the new user.
  2. Click Next. The Welcome Panel selection (Registration Step 3) page opens:
  1. Optional. On the Registration Step 3 page, select a Welcome Panel specific to the user.
  2. Click Finish to return to the User List window, which now contains your new user.
