Buttons in the Editor Frame

This table describes the buttons available on the Type Browser object instances view and Tree view:

Change Layout button. See Using Graphical Views.

Save as Set button. See Saving Query Results to a Set from a Query Result View.

Edit Query button. See the ASG-becubic Designer’s Guide for information about editing queries. This button is available only on a query result view.

History View button. See History View.

Toggle between displaying and hiding duplicates, if any. Click the small arrow and select one of these display options on the shortcut menu:

Merging is off
Merge if same ID
Merge if same name

In addition to these default merging options, your administrator can define specific merging options. For information about editing layouts, see the ASG-becubic Designer’s Guide.

Toggle between activating and deactivating the autorefresh function. If autorefresh is activated and becubic detects changes to the display mode or the contents, a light refresh is performed automatically. If autorefresh is deactivated and becubic detects changes, the tab caption reads Need refresh to prompt you to click either Refresh or Refresh All on the toolbar to perform a heavy refresh. By default, autorefresh is deactivated. The default setting is a user preference (see Browsing).

Hides/Displays the class name. The initial display mode (that is, show or hide class names on the tree view) is defined in the layout definition that is associated with the query.

Hides/Displays the link name of the references. The initial display mode (that is, show or hide link names on the tree view) is defined in the layout definition that is associated with the query.

Toggle between sorting the output objects by name (A through Z) and sorting them by link order (1 through 9). By default, the objects are sorted by name in the results of the standard queries that open a tree view. The default sorting mode is part of the layout definition (see the ASG-becubic Designer’s Guide for information about editing layouts).

In addition to these default sort options, your administrator can define a specific sorting mode.

Displays the related queries list (like when right-clicking an object) enabling you to run a query contextually to all the objects in the current result view.

Opens the CSV Export dialog enabling you to export all the objects in the current result view into a CSV file.

Add Context button. Enables you to add a context (that is, the root object that is the starting point of the query). See Adding a Context to a Graph for more information.

Toggle between displaying objects by packets and displaying them as a flat list. If there are fewer than 100 objects at a node, they are displayed as a flat list, whatever the active display mode.

On a tree view that shows links, toggle between showing and hiding links without any child object. By default, the links with no child object are hidden. The default setting is a user preference (see Browsing).
