Checking the Database Parameters
To check the database parameters
| 1. | In the left frame of the Connection Manager window, expand Database Installation & Configuration Tools:

| 2. | Select Check database parameters, then click Next. |
Or
Double-click Check database parameters. The last defined connection already is selected.
| 3. | Optional. Select a different connection. |
| 4. | Click Next to launch parameter validation. |
The Result tab displays a summary of validation. All database parameters are listed on the Messages tab.
| 5. | Review the status of each database parameter in the generated log file. |
If there are any invalid parameters (i.e., if the Result tab displays one or more lines without the word Success at the end), contact ASG Customer Support for assistance and send them the generated log file. Any status other than Success either prevents you proceeding or severely impacts performance. You cannot proceed with database initialization until all the parameters are correct.
