Model Administration
Model Administration Tasks
The administration of repository information models includes the following tasks:
- Defining the structure of the items that are to be stored in the repository, using item types, attributes, and relationships.
- Creating item type profiles that define rules for viewing and processing the items of specific item types.
- Grouping item types in information models under business or technical aspects, thereby defining the structure of subject areas that are based on the models.
- Generating information models (that is, transforming them to system tables). System tables map the names of item types and attributes to specific numbers for fast data access. You must generate a model before you can base subject areas on it.
