Overview of Rochade Administration

Rochade is a highly customizable metadata management system for analyzing and evaluating complex structures. You can adapt Rochade to various fields of use and adjust it to the individual requirements of the Rochade users and their way of working.

ASG recommends that Rochade administrators perform these modifications, so that users can concentrate on the actual Rochade applications and the tasks in their field of work.

Rochade administration comprises these tasks:

  • Installing and configuring Rochade Servers
  • Installing and configuring Rochade components
  • Configuring the communication between Rochade Server and Rochade components
  • Setting up an administration database
  • Creating and administering user accounts for authentication
  • Specifying roles for user authorization
  • Creating, administering, and backing up Rochade databases

The Rochade Server and the Rochade applications can be installed under various operating systems. Rochade administrators, therefore, require good knowledge of the operating systems and the necessary expertise for their broad range of duties. They also must have the ability to understand the sample scripts that ship with each Rochade product and be able to adapt them to the respective operating system environment.
