Zeke Web Server Release Notes

With the release of Zeke 7.0, ASG-Web Server is being transitioned to the ASG-Zeke Web Server (herein called Web Server). Installation and upgrade requirements are documented here.

Installation Notes

This section describes the system requirements and prerequisites for installing the Web Server.

Base Components

•

ASG-Zeke Controller (herein called Controller)

•

ASG-Zeke Web Server (herein called Web Server)

The Controller must be installed before the Web Server. A Java 1.8 or greater must be installed before the InstallAnywhere installers can be run.

Zeke Components

The Web Server enables the functions of ASG-Zeke in the Web Server.

A successful implementation of the Web Server requires:

Zeke installed on the mainframe (refer to your ASG-Zeke Scheduling for z/OS Installation Guide).

A Zeke server configured for each Zeke system (refer to your ASG-Zeke Scheduling for z/OS Installation Guide).

ASG-RI Server (herein called RIS) installed on the mainframe (refer to your ASG-RI Server Installation and Administration Guide). RIS acts as a registration service, facilitating the Web Server’s ability to locate available Zekes.

Product Compatibility

The Web Server is compatible with these ASG products:

Zeke Version 6.2 or later

•

ASG-RI Server Version 3.0 or later
