Creating a package

The option to create a package is available on the context menu for any folders directly off the root definitions folder.

Pressing on the Create Package displays the Package Filter dialog. The options selected on this dialog will determine what definitions from the selected folder and all selected sub-folders will be included by default when the package is created:

Package Filtering Fields:

Fields Description
Empty Package Creates an empty package with no definitions included. When this option is selected, all other options are disabled.
Name Filter Only definitions where the name contains the text specified in this field will be included.
Filter by Modified Date Turns on the option to filter by modified date. When selected, the Modified date field is enabled.
Modified Date When specified, only Definitions modified after this date will be included in the package.
Folders Only definitions in the selected folders will be included in the package.

Once the filter conditions have been selected, press the Create button to create the package.

Like other definitions being created, the package record is not inserted into the database until the first save occurs.
