User Authentication

Field	Description
Client timeout	The length of time, in minutes, that the inactive client will be disconnected automatically.
Active Directory	Determines whether the AEO should authenticate the user who uses Active Directory. To authenticate that user, the Web Client forces the user to login when navigated to. Even though the authentication occurs through Active Directory, there is a AEO user who will be associated with the login and domain that is entered. The Scheduler automatically adds a AEO user if the user does not already exist. With this option set, there will also be an option within a role to associate an Active Directory group with it. If an Active Directory user belongs to an Active Directory group that has been assigned to that role, they will be given that role’s rights when logging into AEO.
Domain Controller	Name of the Domain Controller that AEO connects to when validating a user’s name and password when Active Directory is enabled.
SSL enabled	Determines whether AEO will use SSL to validate a user in Active Directory. If this option is selected, place a keystore file in the \servers directory where the Scheduler is installed and type the name of the file in the keystore. If the AEO cannot connect to the domain controller, it will disable Active Directory authentication and will use the AEO user authentication. In addition, if a user cannot be validated using Active Directory, AEO will attempt to authenticate the user using AEO user authentication (again the password in the AEO user cannot be blank or the user will not be authenticated).
Disable inactive user (days)	The length of time, in days, that the inactive user(s) will be disabled automatically.
