Installing the Controller on Windows

ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator™ provides two installation options for the Controller on Windows:

  • You can install the Controller which includes the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) as part of the installation process as described in this section. You access this option through the ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator™ Installation Options page.
  • You can install the Controller for Windows Agent, which operates without an installed JVM. This option is provided in a separate directory among the installation files. The installation procedure is the same except that it skips the JVM installation steps.
A silent install option is available for the .NET controller (see Installing the Windows Controller —Silent Install for details). Silent install enables the system administrator to perform automatic installations, which is helpful if users do not have privileges for installing applications or an application must be installed across multiple machines.
