Dynamic Dependencies

Dynamic Dependencies are process dependencies added to a run-time process item. This dependency is on a specific run process in a schedule indicated by a specified date.

The option to add a dynamic dependency is under operations in the context menu for an item within a process.

Selecting the option displays the Add Dynamic Dependency Dialog

Field Description
Date The production date.
Process Selecting the lookup icon will display a list of run processes for the date specified. The process selected will be the process used for the dependency.
Alias The name of the selected process will default into this field and can be modified. This will be the alias of the new process item.
Dependent on item within a selected process Selecting this option will make the dependency be on a specific item within the selected process.
Item Selecting the lookup will display a list of task and process items in the selected process definition. The item selected will be the item in the process to be dependent on.
Status The status to be dependent on.

Once a dynamic dependency has been added to a process, it will show up as a regular item in the run process items list. However, from the chart, only an icon will be displayed on the item to which the dependency was added. In the example below, a dynamic dependency was added to the task process item:
