Use a Broadcast Process or Task

There may be times in which you will need to execute the same Process or Task on either multiple Agents, or on multiple items in a data set. This can be accomplished through the use of a Broadcast Process or a Broadcast Task. You simply define you actions using a standard Process or Task and insert that Process or Task into the main Process using the Broadcast Process or Broadcast Task objects on the Process Diagram toolbar.

Using an Agent List allows you to execute the Process or Task on multiple Agents, while using a Business Entity allows you to execute the Process or Task on the same agent but with different data items from a data set. With either option, you can execute the different Processes or Tasks concurrently or sequentially.

In the examples below, a Broadcast Process is being demonstrated. The same technique can be used for a Broadcast Task by using a Broadcast Task rather than a Broadcast Process in the main Process and linking to the Task directly without having to place that Task into a Process.
