Installing A&AS on Windows

You can install A&AS and all related software on any Windows computer meeting the basic requirements. If SQL Server is your preferred database management system, install it on your computer before installing A&AS.

ASG encourages you to visit the ASG ACCESS portal at http://access.asg.com. The portal allows you to verify whether any product or documentation revisions, new maintenance, or service packs apply to this product release.

To install A&AS Server on Windows

2. Start Microsoft Windows. If it is already running, exit all Windows programs. Make sure that you have closed Microsoft Excel; if it is left open, a warning message reminds you to close it.

4. Verify that the installer directory contains all the files that come with the A&AS setup.
5. Run setup_aas.exe as an administrator from the installer directory.
6. Click Yes in the User Account Control window if prompted.
7. If A&AS is already installed, the Manage Instances window appears. Select Install a New Instance and click OK. The Introduction screen appears.

After installation, when you login to the A&AS Web Admin user interface for the first time, you can use the in-built Username=admin and Password=admin in the lower case. For security reasons, you must change the in-built password.
