Process Inbox

Process Inbox contains the notifications that are sent to users to keep them informed about the events that concern them. You can test the process app to verify that the notifications are delivered to the Process Inbox when a corresponding task is executed in process model. You can test the process app to verify that the notifications are delivered as expected and perform the notification tasks in Process Inbox.


View Notifications

Process Inbox allows you to search for a specific notification based on certain filter options or sort criteria.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Launch ASG Studio.
  2. Click Process Inbox from the menu in header.
  3. Select Filter or Sort from the drop-down list. If you are using a mobile device, click the arrow shown beside refresh icon to see the filter options.
  4. To filter the notifications, specify the below options and click Submit.
    • Sender Name
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by Sender Name. Enter the sender name in the Filter text field.

    • Priority
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by Priority. Select High, Medium, or Low as Priority.

    • Status
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by Status. Select one of the below options as Status.

      • In Progress
      • Waiting
      • Suspended
      • Terminated
      • Completed
      • Error
    • Subject
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by Subject. Enter the subject in the Filter text field.

    Displays the list of matching notifications as per the applied filters. Click Reset to clear all the selections and apply the filter again.

  5. To sort the notifications, specify the below options and click Submit.
    • Received Date
    • Select this option to sort the notifications by received date. Select Ascending or Descending to specify the order of the notifications to display.

    • Priority
    • Select this option to sort the notifications by priority. Select Ascending or Descending to specify the order of the notifications to display.

    • Status
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by status. Select Ascending or Descending to specify the order of the notifications to display.

    • Subject
    • Select this option to filter the notifications by Subject. Select Ascending or Descending to specify the order of the notifications to display.

    Displays the list of matching notifications as per the sort options that you selected. Click Reset to clear all the selections and select the sort options again.


Perform Notification Tasks

Process Inbox allows you to view the notifications and perform tasks that are assigned through the notifications.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Process Inbox.
  2. The list of notifications displays. Each notification includes the following information:

    • Sender Name
    • Subject
    • Status
    • Priority
    • Due Date
  3. Click the notification to view the details of the action to perform.
  4. The notification can include only a message for information or a form to fill the details and perform an action.

  5. If the notification includes a form, enter the details in the applicable fields and click the action button. For example, Approve, Reject, or Submit.

If the task that you performed is configured to send notification, you can see another notification received in the Process Inbox.
