Accessing History Reports

History reports display history processing data for the selected item within the specified date range. You can select:

  • Items in the Authoring.
You cannot generate a History report for all items in the Authoring. If a report is not available for the selected item then the History option is not displayed in the context menu.
  • Processes from the Operations.
Generating a History report for a milestone in the Authoring is the same as generating a Milestone History report for a milestone in the Operations (see Accessing Milestone History Reports).

To access the history report

1. Select the item on which you want to report.
2. Right-click to display the context menu and select:

Process HistoryRun History for an item in the Authoring

Or  

History for a process in the Operations

The Item History Filter displays.

3. Specify the report start date by entering the date manually (mm/dd/yyyy) or by clicking the down arrow and selecting the date from the displayed calendar.
By default, the Starting from field is enabled (check box selected) with a date set to one week before the current date. If you disable field the report covers the lifetime of the selected item.
4. Specify the report end date by entering the date manually (mm/dd/yyyy) or by clicking the down arrow and selecting the date from the displayed calendar.
By default, the Until field is enabled (check box selected) with a date set to one the current date. If you disable field the current date is selected.
5. Click OK. The History Report displays.
6. Click Print to print the report or OK to close the report.

The report displays:

The name of the item/task (AllTasks in this example).

Information about the selected item/process. The information displayed is dependent on the item selected. Valid fields are:

Field

Description

ID

Unique ID of the item definition.

Owner

User ID of the person who created the definition.

Folder

Folder name where the definition is stored.

Last Normal

The last date and time the item completed normally.

Last Error

The last date and time the item completed with an Error status.

This information for each instance of the process within the specified time range.

Field

Description

History ID

Unique ID for the history record.

Process ID

Unique ID for the scheduled process.

Status

The item status for each instance.

Started

The date and time the item started.

Completed

The date and time the item finished.

Duration

The amount of time the item ran.

Process

The main process, if the selected process executes within another process.
