Presentation Services

ASG-Zenith Presentation Services provides your organization with the ability to design, develop, test, deploy and manage apps, compose them into dashboards and pages and distribute them in an omni-channel manner.

The key features of Presentation Services include:

  • UI modeling: Build rich-looking Angular apps out of the box using a simple drag-and-drop approach. Design a customized look and feel for your app interfaces. These apps can load data on page load and consume web services configured in data sources to read and submit data. The UI model designer includes numerous UI controls to quickly build your app forms.
  • Data modeling: Build reusable business components, known as web services, that can be consumed by your developing projects.
  • User and space management: Register your organization users, assign them user roles to manage user rights, and create spaces to manage user workspaces.
  • App deployment: Deploy apps designed in ASG-Studio in a run-time environment that allows you to control user access to the apps, and configure the required artifacts such as data sources or inbox queues.
  • Dashboards, pages, surveys, forms: Provide access to apps and KPIs through user dashboards and pages, collect feedback by distributing surveys, and create forms for simple business processes. All these can be consumed in any device with a common user experience.

The design-time modelers are exposed via a desktop design tool called ASG-Studio. The administration capabilities are accessible through ASG-Zenith Console. Finally, run-time tasks like app deployment and consumption are performed in ASG-Zenith Portal.

Design time

The app that executes a business process is built in a single, integrated design desk. ASG-Studio is a visual, model-driven design environment that uses a low-code/no-code approach to build business apps for desktop and mobile devices.

In this team collaboration tool, the developer creates the reusable components and the UI designer creates the UI modelsThe visual design of an app's user interface. An app can have several different UI models. For example, for different user roles. required for the process. These components can be built using drag-and-drop, visual editors:

  • The data source editor is used to create data mappings to enterprise databases and web services. This defines the data that will populate app forms, as well as the operational metadata that drives the execution of process instances.
  • The UI modeler is used to create responsive user interfaces for the apps using an extensive array of ready-made controls. The UI models can link to external scripts or stylesheets to leverage standard data collection processes and validations and use pre-built styles and company branding.

Administration

Platform setup tasks like space and user management are performed by the organization admin. This ensures enterprise security by providing access to information, apps and spacesAn isolated workspace for a specific purpose (for example, an environment, brand, location, or department). based on roles.

Run time

After testing, the app package is exported to the portal for distribution. In this modern digital workspace, all enterprise information and processes can be visualized and connected in portal dashboards and on any device.

At this stage, the portal admin deploys the app to one or multiple workspaces . Apps can be assembled into dashboardsA group of app views that gives users a visual overview of certain information. and pagesA web page within the portal where you can create static content and embed site links, videos and app views. for user consumption. Finally, the portal users interact with the app to perform a set of actions in relation to the business process. ASG-Zenith Portal provides a mobile client so end-users can view the dashboards and pages, run the apps and receive inbox notifications also in their smartphones and tablets.
