Performing Data Propagation and Data Lineage

Overview

The integrated Data Propagation function in becubic enables you to see how data can be propagated among programs, databases, and files.

The Data Lineage function enables you to perform data lineages.

becubic provides predefined Data Propagation and Date Lineage processes to quickly perform a standard propagation/data lineage (see Standard Propagations and Standard Data Lineages for details).

The Data Propagation Manager enable you to use all the available options to create or edit your custom data propagation and data lineage definitions (see the ASG-becubic Designer’s Guide for details).

When a data propagation/lineage executes successfully, result sets containing the impacted objects are created and a dedicated PropagationResult object is generated.

From the PropagationResult object, you can perform these tasks:

• Consulting the execution log.
• Consulting the related result sets.
• Generating reports.
• Clearing the result.
