Installing Windows Agent

The Windows Agent is required in order to execute certain tasks. (See the table for supported services.) This section explains how to install the Agent.

ASG recommends using this agent only if you have task requirements that are not handled by the Java-based, Platform Agent.

A silent install option also is available (see Installing the Windows Agent—Silent Install) that enables a system administrator to perform automatic installations, which is helpful if users do not have the necessary privileges for installing applications or if the agent must be installed across many machines.

Prerequisites

These are the requirements and prerequisites for installing the Windows Agent:

.NET 4.0 framework or later must be installed

The Controller must already be installed (see Installing the Controller on Windows)

To install the Windows Agent

1. Click the Install ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator™ Agent link on the ASG-Enterprise Orchestrator™ Agent Installation Options page (see Installation Options).
